Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup peach preserves or pie filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter, 1 cup of milk, 2 large eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fill each donut with 1 cup of peach preserves using a piping bag.
- Fry the donuts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Cool the donuts on a wire rack for a few minutes.
- Mix 8 oz of softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon until smooth.
- Pipe or spread the cream cheese mixture generously on top of the cooled donuts.
