- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 package pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until it releases a succulent aroma.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan, cooking until softened.
- Sprinkle in the curry powder and cumin, stirring for about two minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Toss in the frozen peas and carrots, followed by the heavy cream, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Stir until the filling slightly thickens.
- Roll out your pie crust into a prepared pie dish and fill it with the beef mixture.
- Cover with the top crust, sealing the edges carefully and cutting slits for steam to escape.
- Brush the top with egg wash and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
