Description

A comforting and creamy pasta bake filled with fresh spinach and ricotta, topped with gooey mozzarella for a warm, cheesy delight.


Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 300g fresh spinach
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 200g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain and set aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Combine the cooked pasta, wilted spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and marinara sauce in a mixing bowl.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For make-ahead preparation, assemble the dish a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to cook. Can be customized with various vegetables.
