Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the sugar over medium heat until it melts and turns amber in color.
- Add the butter and stir until melted.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat and stir in sea salt and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar and milk, then add to the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and drizzle with salted caramel sauce.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool before serving, drizzling more caramel on top if desired.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
- Can be served warm or chilled.
