Description

A delightful and tangy rhubarb sauce combined with sweet strawberry Jello, perfect for topping desserts or enjoying on its own.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rhubarb, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 package strawberry Jello (3 oz)
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine chopped rhubarb, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the rhubarb becomes soft.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the strawberry Jello until completely dissolved.
  4. Fold in sliced strawberries, if desired.
  5. Allow the sauce to cool at room temperature before transferring to the refrigerator to chill until set, around 2-4 hours.
  6. Serve chilled as a topping or on its own.
