Description

A delicious breakfast omelette inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, brimming with steak, sautéed veggies, and melted provolone cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup cooked steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1/4 cup onions, diced
  • 1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper until well blended.
  2. Heat your non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil or butter.
  3. Sauté the diced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Push the sautéed veggies to one side and pour the whisked eggs into the other side, allowing them to set for about a minute.
  5. Add the sliced steak on top of the partially cooked eggs.
  6. Melt the cheese by sprinkling it over everything as the eggs firm up.
  7. Fold the omelette in half gently using a spatula and cook for another minute.
  8. Serve the omelette hot on a plate and enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the cheese and veggies based on your preference. Prep the veggies in advance for quicker cooking.
