Description

A flavorful shrimp boil with smoky sausage, sweet corn, and hearty potatoes, all simmered to perfection in a savory broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 ears corn, cut into pieces
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
  • 1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon, halved

Instructions

  1. Begin by layering the baby potatoes and corn at the bottom of your crockpot, creating a firm base.
  2. On top of the vegetables, layer the sliced sausage.
  3. Gently place the shrimp atop the sausage.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour this mixture over the shrimp and sausage.
  6. Squeeze the juice from one lemon half into the crockpot.
  7. Toss everything gently to combine.
  8. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with the remaining lemon wedges.

Notes

Consider serving with crusty bread for soaking up the broth.
