High-Protein Chocolate Frosty

  • Author: Grace
  • Total Time: About 5 minutes; longer if preparing frozen yogurt cubes ahead
  • Yield: One large portion or two smaller servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, using the serving size on its label
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Up to ½ cup unsweetened almond milk, divided, plus a little more only if needed
  • 1–2 tablespoons powdered sweetener or sugar-free syrup, adjusted to the product and your taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free chocolate chips, optional

Instructions

  • Blend yogurt, protein powder, cocoa, vanilla, a little sweetener, and ¼ cup milk until smooth, about 20–30 seconds. Taste and adjust sweetness.
  • Add ice and blend in short intervals until thick and smooth. Stop before scraping the sides.
  • Add reserved milk one tablespoon at a time only as needed for circulation. Add a few extra ice cubes if desired, recognizing that they dilute flavor.
  • Transfer to a chilled dish, add optional chips, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Texture varies with yogurt thickness, powder formulation, ice size, and blender strength.
  • Freeze measured yogurt in cubes ahead for a creamier frozen variation and reduce ordinary ice as needed.
  • Protein and calories should be calculated from actual labels; no fixed nutrition totals are claimed.
  • The recipe contains dairy and almond unless suitably adapted; check protein powder and topping labels for additional allergens.
