- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup chocolate pudding
- 1 cup chocolate cake, cubed
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Beat the softened cream cheese in another bowl until smooth, then gradually mix in the chocolate pudding until well combined.
- Layer in your trifle dish or individual cups starting with a layer of cubed chocolate cake. Press it down gently.
- Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, spreading it over the cake layer.
- Follow with a generous layer of whipped cream, then repeat this process until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder.
- Refrigerate the assembled trifle for at least 120 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, allow flavors to meld by chilling the trifle before serving. Can be made a day in advance.
