Description

A nostalgic and comforting casserole made with seasoned ground beef, layers of golden potatoes, and green beans, topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef along with the diced onion in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Layer the thinly sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add the ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Spread the green beans over the beef mixture.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if desired.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
