Instructions

  1. Combine the warm water and yeast in a large bowl. Let it rest for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add the olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Dust your work surface with flour and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Transfer the kneaded dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out onto a greased baking sheet. Create dimples on the surface.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the dimpled surface, then sprinkle minced garlic, grated Parmesan, and optional herbs.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
