- 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1½ cups warm water (110°F)
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (optional, such as rosemary or thyme)
Instructions
- Combine the warm water and yeast in a large bowl. Let it rest for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Dust your work surface with flour and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer the kneaded dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Punch down the dough and roll it out onto a greased baking sheet. Create dimples on the surface.
- Drizzle olive oil over the dimpled surface, then sprinkle minced garlic, grated Parmesan, and optional herbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
