Description

A festive and delicious meatloaf topped with a sweet and tangy cranberry glaze, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, garlic, milk, ketchup, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to create the glaze.
  5. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, basting with the remaining glaze halfway through.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
