- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (35g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (180ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your muffin pan or mini cake molds.
- Whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until glossy.
- Add the eggs, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a rubber spatula.
- Divide the batter evenly into the molds, filling each about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Cool completely before removing from the molds.
- Bring the heavy cream to a steaming point and pour it over chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Stir until glossy, then spoon or pour the ganache over each mini cake.
Notes
Allow the ganache to set for a few minutes or serve warm for a gooey texture.
