Chocolate Ganache Mini Cakes

Description

Delight in these rich and fudgy mini cakes topped with glossy chocolate ganache, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup (35g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your muffin pan or mini cake molds.
  2. Whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until glossy.
  3. Add the eggs, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a rubber spatula.
  6. Divide the batter evenly into the molds, filling each about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are set and centers remain soft.
  8. Cool completely before removing from the molds.
  9. Bring the heavy cream to a steaming point and pour it over chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  10. Stir until glossy, then spoon or pour the ganache over each mini cake.

Notes

Allow the ganache to set for a few minutes or serve warm for a gooey texture.
