Description

A comforting Chicken Parmesan Casserole layered with tender chicken, pasta, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, cooked pasta, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl.
  3. Layer half of the chicken mixture in a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the chicken mixture.
  5. Add the remaining chicken mixture on top.
  6. Finish with the rest of the mozzarella and all of the Parmesan cheese.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese bubbles and turns golden brown.
  9. Garnish with chopped basil before serving.
