A delightful fusion of savory dumplings and hearty lasagna, featuring tender dumpling wrappers and a juicy pork filling.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground pork
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced (whites and greens)
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1–2 tsp chili crisp (to taste)
- Splash of rice vinegar
- ¾ tsp white pepper (or black pepper)
- 1–2 tbsp chicken broth or water
- Wonton or dumpling wrappers
- Small bowl of water (for sealing wrappers)
- For garnish: Extra soy sauce, chili crisp, sliced scallions, and sesame seeds
Instructions
- Add the ground pork, scallions, grated garlic, and ginger into a large bowl.
- Pour in the soy sauce or tamari, toasted sesame oil, chili crisp, rice vinegar, and white pepper.
- Mix in the chicken broth or water until cohesive.
- Spread a thin layer of the pork mixture in the bottom of a deep baking dish.
- Place dumpling wrappers on top, slightly overlapping.
- Repeat layering with remaining pork mixture and wrappers, pressing down gently.
- Finish with a layer of wrappers on top.
- Pour about 1 cup of water or broth around the edges, then cover tightly.
- Bake until pork is cooked through and wrappers are tender.
- Drizzle with extra soy sauce, sesame oil, and garnish before serving.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the filling a day before. You can also freeze individual portions for up to a month.
