Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. If desired, add a few drops of red food coloring to achieve a pink hue.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Pour the batter into a heart-shaped mold on the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter, adjusting the heat as necessary.
  7. Serve warm with syrup, whipped cream, or fresh berries.
