Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground turkey over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced apple, chili powder, and cumin, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth to the pot.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
