Description

Delicious steak and cheese quesadillas filled with caramelized onions and bell peppers, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked steak, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, allowing it to shimmer slightly.
  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté until they soften and caramelize, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  3. Warm one tortilla for about a minute on each side until pliable.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheese on one half of the warmed tortilla, followed by slices of steak and sautéed vegetables. Top with remaining cheese.
  5. Place the second tortilla on top and gently press down.
  6. Cook the quesadilla in the skillet until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the quesadilla carefully and cook the other side until golden and cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes more.
  8. Remove from the skillet, slice into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

Use corn tortillas for a gluten-free option or experiment with different fillings and spices to customize your quesadillas.
