- 1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the olive oil and sliced onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- Return the crispy bacon to the skillet and mix well.
- Serve warm as a side dish.

- For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and use vegetable oil.
