Description

Delicious Spicy Cajun Crab Poppers with a crispy shell and creamy filling, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for baking. If frying, heat your oil in a pan over medium heat instead.
  2. Combine the crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Cajun seasoning, and green onions in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the egg and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Form the mixture into small balls or poppers.
  5. If baking, place the poppers on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. If frying, carefully add the poppers to the hot oil, frying in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the poppers and let them drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
