- 1 lb crab meat
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for baking. If frying, heat your oil in a pan over medium heat instead.
- Combine the crab meat, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Cajun seasoning, and green onions in a mixing bowl.
- Add the egg and stir until fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into small balls or poppers.
- If baking, place the poppers on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- If frying, carefully add the poppers to the hot oil, frying in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the poppers and let them drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
