  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine or white rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise or vegan mayo
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rice: Cook rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
  2. Make the Bang Bang Sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and honey until smooth.
  3. Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat, then add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Cook the Turkey: Add ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula, and brown for 5 to 7 minutes until no longer pink.
  5. Add Flavor: Stir in soy sauce, sriracha, hoisin sauce, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Assemble the Bowls: Spoon cooked rice into bowls and top with seasoned turkey, then add carrots, cucumber, and purple cabbage.
  7. Finish with Saucing: Drizzle bang bang sauce over each bowl, and top with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

Make bang bang sauce and cut vegetables a day in advance for easier assembly. Adjust spice levels per preference.
