- 2 cups cooked jasmine or white rice
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
- 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise or vegan mayo
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Prepare the Rice: Cook rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
- Make the Bang Bang Sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and honey until smooth.
- Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat, then add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute.
- Cook the Turkey: Add ground turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula, and brown for 5 to 7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Add Flavor: Stir in soy sauce, sriracha, hoisin sauce, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
- Assemble the Bowls: Spoon cooked rice into bowls and top with seasoned turkey, then add carrots, cucumber, and purple cabbage.
- Finish with Saucing: Drizzle bang bang sauce over each bowl, and top with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds. Serve with lime wedges.
Notes
Make bang bang sauce and cut vegetables a day in advance for easier assembly. Adjust spice levels per preference.
