- 1 loaf of sourdough bread, cubed
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup maple syrup (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed sourdough bread to the egg mixture and gently fold until the bread is well coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.
