Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- Water (as needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the sourdough discard, shredded cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.
- Cut in the cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add water gradually, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into squares or your desired shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the crackers are crispy.
- Let cool before enjoying.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, prepare the dough and chill for up to two days. Air fryer cooking is also an option.
