Ingredients
- Ground beef (80/20) – 1 lb
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
- American cheese – 4 slices
- Burger buns – 4
- Lettuce – 4 leaves
- Tomato – 1, sliced
- Onion – 1, sliced
- Pickles – to taste
- Ketchup – to taste
- Mustard – to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form loose balls.
- Place the beef balls on the hot grill and smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties.
- Season the patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until a crust forms, then flip the patties.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cook for an additional minute until melted.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun and adding lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
