- 1 package of puff pastry
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into strips.
- In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, green onions, salt, and pepper.
- Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end of each pastry strip.
- Roll the pastry around the filling to form a twist.
- Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra spice, use spicy jalapenos or add hot sauce to the cheese mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
