Description

A delicious and flavorful lasagna made with layers of rosemary-infused chicken, cheese, and pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, egg, chopped rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Place three lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  5. Add half of the chicken mixture on top of the noodles.
  6. Sprinkle with a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, starting with marinara sauce, noodles, chicken mixture, and cheeses.
  8. Finish with a final layer of noodles, marinara sauce, and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with sautéed vegetables.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Garnish with additional rosemary before serving for extra flavor.
