Description

Reuben Balls are a delicious twist on the classic Reuben sandwich, featuring corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese, all rolled into bite-sized balls and served with a spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup corned beef, chopped
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine chopped corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and form into small balls.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry the Reuben balls until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm with spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake the Reuben balls in the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes instead of frying.
  • Adjust the spice level of the dipping sauce to your preference.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
