- 1 cup milk

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it.
- Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until golden brown.
- Serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown sugar instead of white sugar.
- Make sure to use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- These waffles can be frozen and reheated in a toaster for a quick breakfast.
