Description

Delicious marinated grilled mushroom skewers perfect for outdoor feasts.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms and place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the marinade over the mushrooms and toss to coat.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Thread the marinated mushrooms onto skewers.
  7. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and slightly charred.
  8. Remove from the grill and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add bell peppers or onions to the skewers.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • These skewers can be served as an appetizer or a side dish.
