Description

Deliciously sweet and sticky maple pecan cinnamon rolls, perfect for a delightful morning treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until warm. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and cinnamon. Add the yeast mixture and egg, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with maple syrup, then sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Drizzle with additional maple syrup before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight before baking.
