Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish thoroughly.
- Cream together the softened butter and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Mix in 2 cups of flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt until it resembles a crumbly dough.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the crust for about 20 minutes until light golden.
- Whisk together the eggs, 1 cup granulated sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, 1/4 cup flour, and baking powder until smooth.
- Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake again for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and edges are slightly golden.
- Cool completely in the baking dish and dust with powdered sugar before slicing into squares.
