- 1 ripe mango (or 1 cup of frozen mango chunks)
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Ice cubes
- A pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare the mango: Peel, pit, and slice if using fresh mango; skip this step for frozen mango.
- Blend the mango with about ½ cup of almond milk until smooth.
- Mix the matcha powder with 2-3 tablespoons of hot water until dissolved.
- Combine the mango puree at the bottom of a tall glass, layer with ice cubes, then pour in the remaining almond milk and the whisked matcha.
- Finish with honey or maple syrup and a pinch of sea salt, then give it a gentle stir.
Notes
Make-ahead: Prepare the mango puree in advance and store in the fridge for up to two days. This recipe is vegan friendly with the right substitutions.
