Description

A refreshing blend of ripe mango puree, creamy almond milk, and earthy matcha for a tropical escape in a glass.


Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango (or 1 cup of frozen mango chunks)
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mango: Peel, pit, and slice if using fresh mango; skip this step for frozen mango.
  2. Blend the mango with about ½ cup of almond milk until smooth.
  3. Mix the matcha powder with 2-3 tablespoons of hot water until dissolved.
  4. Combine the mango puree at the bottom of a tall glass, layer with ice cubes, then pour in the remaining almond milk and the whisked matcha.
  5. Finish with honey or maple syrup and a pinch of sea salt, then give it a gentle stir.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare the mango puree in advance and store in the fridge for up to two days. This recipe is vegan friendly with the right substitutions.
