Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your Twinkie pan or muffin tin.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk until just combined.
  6. Fill the pans about two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Make the filling by whipping heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  10. Fill the cooled cakes using a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
