Description

A quick and hearty stir-fry featuring tender ground beef and crisp cabbage, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Heat things up: In a large skillet, pour in the olive oil and set the heat to medium. Let the oil warm until it shimmers.
  2. Toss in your chopped onions and minced garlic. Allow them to cook until the onions turn translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until beautifully browned, roughly 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage, folding gently with the beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce along with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Transfer the stir-fry to plates and dig in while hot.

Notes

For a meal prep, chop the veggies in advance and store them. The stir-fry can also be made in an air fryer for a crispier option.
