Description
A quick and hearty stir-fry featuring tender ground beef and crisp cabbage, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Heat things up: In a large skillet, pour in the olive oil and set the heat to medium. Let the oil warm until it shimmers.
- Toss in your chopped onions and minced garlic. Allow them to cook until the onions turn translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart. Cook until beautifully browned, roughly 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the shredded cabbage, folding gently with the beef. Cook for about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce along with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer the stir-fry to plates and dig in while hot.
Notes
For a meal prep, chop the veggies in advance and store them. The stir-fry can also be made in an air fryer for a crispier option.
