Description

Delicious and nutritious grilled tofu skewers marinated in a flavorful za’atar spice blend, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 block Firm Tofu
  • 2 tablespoons Za’atar Spice Blend
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
  • Wooden Skewers (soaked in water)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu by wrapping it in a clean towel and placing a weight on top for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  3. Mix together the za’atar, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add the cubed tofu to the bowl and gently coat each piece with the marinade.
  5. Marinate the tofu for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  7. Thread the marinated tofu onto the soaked skewers.
  8. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  9. Serve warm with leftover marinade drizzled on top.

Notes

Customize by adding colorful bell peppers or cherry tomatoes to the skewers. These skewers can be made ahead of time and grilled just before serving.
