- 8 slices of bread
- 4 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 4 slices of bread in the bottom of the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese over the bread.
- Layer the remaining bread on top of the cheese.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread layers.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
