Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cupcake pan by lining with colorful cupcake liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and green food coloring until well combined and smooth.
  4. Gently pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Place your pan in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once completely cooled, generously top each cupcake with creamy vanilla frosting.
