Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cupcake pan by lining with colorful cupcake liners.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and green food coloring until well combined and smooth.
- Gently pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Place your pan in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once completely cooled, generously top each cupcake with creamy vanilla frosting.
