Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring succulent shrimp sautéed in garlic butter, served over creamy lemon parmesan orzo.

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and orzo, stirring to coat.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and Parmesan cheese until creamy.
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes when cooking the shrimp.
- Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
- This dish can be served with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
