Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, mix the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it bubbles.
- Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes.
- Let it rise: Cover with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm spot for approximately 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven: Set it to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the dough: Punch down the risen dough, divide it into small pieces, flatten each piece, place cheese in the center, seal, and roll into a ball.
- Arrange on a baking sheet: Place dough balls on a greased baking sheet.
- Create the garlic butter mixture: Mix melted butter with minced garlic and chopped parsley. Brush over each dough ball.
- Bake to perfection: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm: Let cool slightly before enjoying.
