Description

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup creamy sauce (yogurt or tahini)
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro), chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and coat them thoroughly in the mixture.
  4. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Remove the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes.
  6. Warm the pita breads in a dry pan or oven.
  7. Assemble the pitas by adding slices of chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and cucumber.
  8. Drizzle with creamy sauce and sprinkle fresh herbs on top.
  9. Fold the pita in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Marinate chicken overnight for deeper flavor. Use an air fryer for crispy chicken if grilling isn’t available.
