- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 cup creamy sauce (yogurt or tahini)
- Fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro), chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
- Combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Add the chicken breasts and coat them thoroughly in the mixture.
- Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Warm the pita breads in a dry pan or oven.
- Assemble the pitas by adding slices of chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and cucumber.
- Drizzle with creamy sauce and sprinkle fresh herbs on top.
- Fold the pita in half and serve immediately.
Notes
Marinate chicken overnight for deeper flavor. Use an air fryer for crispy chicken if grilling isn’t available.
