  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add brown sugar and corn syrup to the melted butter, stirring until it comes to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, let it boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
  6. Pour the caramel mixture over the Crispix cereal in a large bowl, stirring to coat evenly.
  7. Spread the coated cereal onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
