- 6 cups Crispix cereal
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and corn syrup to the melted butter, stirring until it comes to a boil.
- Once boiling, let it boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the Crispix cereal in a large bowl, stirring to coat evenly.
- Spread the coated cereal onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
