- 3 T taco seasoning
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1/3 cup chunky salsa
- 1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F, ensuring the rack sits at the center.
- Grease your 9″ pie pan thoroughly with oil or non-stick cooking spray and set it aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, adding a splash of oil if needed.
- Drain any excess grease from the cooked beef and return it to the skillet.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and stir to coat the beef evenly.
- Spoon the seasoned beef into the prepared pie pan, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the heavy cream and eggs, whisking until smooth.
- Add the salsa, 1 cup of shredded cheese, garlic salt, and pepper, mixing well.
- Pour the egg mixture over the taco beef in the pie pan.
- Top with the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center sets and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
