Description

A delicious twist on the classic Croque Monsieur, featuring duck and goat cheese for a rich and flavorful experience.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 100g duck breast, cooked and sliced
  • 50g goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2 slices of Gruyère cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the duck breast and goat cheese on one slice of bread, then top with Gruyère cheese.
  4. Place the other slice of bread on top, mustard side down.
  5. Spread butter on the outside of both slices of bread.
  6. Place the sandwich in a skillet over medium heat and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Transfer the sandwich to the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute duck with sautéed mushrooms.
