Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the dried cranberries and orange zest, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
  5. Whisk together the heavy cream and egg in a separate bowl until smooth.
  6. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  7. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface a few times until it comes together.
  8. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
  9. Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes
