A traditional dessert made with a spiced pumpkin filling in a flaky pie crust, perfect for fall celebrations.

- 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 unbaked pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves) and salt, and mix until well combined.
- Pour the pumpkin filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40-50 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Let the pie cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream for added flavor.
- Can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free pie crust.
