Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, and egg until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  8. Swirl dollops of peanut butter into each muffin.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Allow the muffins to cool briefly in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.
