- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup strawberry filling (or strawberry puree)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate drizzle (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh strawberries for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the cake mix package instructions. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake as per package directions. Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool the cake for about 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the surface with a fork.
- Pour strawberry filling over the holes, allowing it to soak into the cake.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread whipped cream over the cake.
- Drizzle chocolate sauce over the whipped topping and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
