Description

Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies enriched with cream cheese for a unique twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M’s (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the dry ingredients by whisking together the flour and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Incorporate the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Blend in the dry ingredients gradually.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and M&M’s, folding them gently into the dough.
  7. Scoop generous amounts of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a couple of minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a thicker cookie, chill the dough before baking. Experiment with different chocolate types and add nuts for extra crunch.
