- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup additional shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread marinara sauce over the meatloaf.
- Arrange tater tots around the meatloaf in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle additional shredded cheese on top and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the meatloaf mixture.
- For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
