- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well.
- Create a well in the center and pour in the warm milk, melted butter, and warm water.
- Add the egg and mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, mix minced garlic, softened butter, and chopped parsley in a small bowl for the filling.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly across the dough.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 8-10 pieces.
- Place each slice upright in the muffin cups and cover to rise for an additional 20 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before removing from the tin and serve warm.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the dough a day in advance and refrigerate overnight. Adjust cooking times if using an air fryer.
